ECA is the driving force in the electrotechnical and engineering services industry. Formed in 1901, ECA was established to represent the interests of contractors who design, install and inspect, test and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and services.
ECA have a variety of exhibitions that cover 2 brands, ECA and FSA. The event sizes vary considerably from 3 x 2m up to 6 x 4m. They are geographically across the whole of the UK and there are some clashes in the programme. The kit needs to be built on behalf of ECA as there isn’t personnel available to do so. Giveaways and brochures also need to be sent to support the success of the shows.
Nomadic Display and ECA started working together on their exhibitions in 2007 initially on displays for the regional teams within ECA, for quick and easy, self-build displays.
By 2016, the event schedule for the national exhibitions had grown and the need for a strategic approach to fulfilling these events became apparent.
The brief was such that ECA needed a company that could provide installation, breakdown and storage as well as asset management.
The kit needed to be durable and reliable to cope with the busy schedule, and reusable in a way to make the schedule as sustainable as possible.

We started by re-utilising a flat pop-up display already in the inventory.
We then added to this kit, taller frames to provide impact, TV mounting capabilities and Evolve counters, that could increase and decrease in size, according to the space.
The kit used, is robust and can cope with their busy schedule, it’s backed with a no-questions guarantee for life. The reusable and reconfigurable nature of the stand makes for a sustainable way to exhibit.
The Nomadic show service crew are employed to deliver and install at each event, meaning the stand staff just need to arrive on the day of the show, and it is built and ready to go.
For clashes in the programme, ECA can utilise our rental stock to temporarily increase its inventory. Any additional printed exhibition graphics branding can be facilitated quickly through Nomadic’s in-house printing.
